Apple Tree Holiday Cottages
Self Catering and Bed & Breakfast holidays in East Yorkshire
Welcome to Appletree Holiday Cottages and The Dairy Farm, luxury self-catering and bed and breakfast accommodation in Howden, East Yorkshire.
Enjoy a warm Yorkshire welcome with a break in Saltmarshe, a beautiful riverside hamlet in East Yorkshire. The holiday cottages and The Dairy Farm are surrounded by the natural beauty of farm and parkland, with fascinating market towns and places of interest nearby to occupy the visitor.
I spent a very good time here with nice people. I would like to come here again.
~ Andy Gechanowski
Our pretty cottages each sleep four people and have lots of parking and a private orchard to enjoy.
We are situated on the edge of ancient parkland, where our visitors can enjoy walks with their dog.( Orchard Cottage welcomes dogs by arrangement). There are also walks along the river bank where you can see the ocean-going ships as well as yachts etc, which pass by on the river Ouse. Those interested in fishing can try their skills in our ponds or the many other local ones.
Saltmarshe is very well placed for guests visiting the wider Yorkshire region. Not only are we deep in the countryside, with its peace and tranquillity, but we are also within easy reach of the coast. From our delightful holiday cottages you are able to visit York and Beverley, and many historic stately homes such as Castle Howard, all within an hours drive. For retail therapy you are spoilt for choice and are within easy reach of retail centres such as Meadowhall, Hull, Doncaster, and Leeds.
For those who prefer bed and breakfast, the Victorian farmhouse has two beautiful, spacious bedrooms with ensuite facilities.
A beautiful house, very comfortable, friendly and helpful hosts.
